Second Edition Release of "Nature-ly Fun: Bird Photography From A to Z"

Journalist and photographer Patrick Harwood has published a new, expanded version of his homage and introduction to the fun, interesting, wholesome and healthy hobby of bird and nature photography.

The second edition of this book (ISBN 978-0-9847498-3-6), first published in 2016, is 100 pages (85 before) and has a hardcover.

The premise is the same. Harwood used the alphabets 26 letters to extol virtues of the bird and nature photography then shares descriptions and anecdotes to elaborate on the keywords. For example, "A" stands for "Adventure," "B" for "Beauty" and so on.

After the "A to Z" part of the book, Harwood shares his "Best of the Rest" ideas and photographs of subject matter that he also enjoys capturing with his camera, such as sunrises and sunsets, clouds, lighthouses, and old abandoned houses.

Additions to this section of the book include old graveyards and churches, panoramas, HDR (high-dynamic range) images, and travel.

The new edition sells for $29.95. It is available by contacting the author directly by emailing birdseyeviewspublications@gmail.com and on Amazon- click here for details.  The soft cover version is available and sells for $19.95. Shipping charges will be added to mail orders.

This is Harwood's fourth book. His previous titles are "In the Arms of Angels: Magnolia Cemetery- Charleston's Treasure of History, Mystery and Artistry" (2014) and "The Birds of Magnolia Cemetery- Charleston's Secret Bird Sanctuary" (2011). Details of each are on his Amazon author's page and on his website.

Harwood's books are sold at several Charleston area locations including the College of Charleston Bookstore, the Preservation Society of Charleston Book and Gift Shop, the Historic Charleston Foundation Shop and Mr. K's Used Books, Music and More.

A former broadcast journalist, Harwood is a communication professor at South Carolina State University. He also teaches at the College of Charleston. He holds degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University (B.S. Mass Communications) and Northwestern University (M.S.J. Journalism).

Harwood hopes his book may inspire some people to take up what can become a very satisfying, fun and adventurous lifetime hobby. "Enjoy birding and nature! It's all out there waiting for you!" he writes at the end of the book.
