The popular three day event is a right of spring passage (spring welcoming actually) here in the Lowcountry. Some 250,000 people are expected and the weather should be ideal as it was Friday when we were there. Sunny in the low 70s, not windy = perfect walking and shopping conditions!
Here are some of the goodies we came home with from the friendly vendors. Each product is made locally or regionally.
The brown cat is welcomed by our large collection of curious kitty curios. I bought this for $5 from a couple out of Easley, S.C. The lady said it is made from acacia, which is wood from a tree in the Philippines.
It was a great few hours in Summerville at the Flowertown Festival. And that is not an April fools' day joke!
