When May it be a good time to go to beach? It is the month of May and the time and weather have been right. Here is a collection of my photography from three recent visits to Sullivan’s Island. This included a Mother’s Day brunch at The Longboard restaurant, which was very good.
Purple Martins and the distinctive houses they like so much
Richardson Brothers shrimp trawler steams back to its dock. Dozens of birds, including Brown Pelicans, were along for the ride.
Unusual home in an old coastal defense fortification. This is on Sullivan’s Island near Isle of Palms.
Finally, some shots from our excellent Mother’s Day brunch at the Longboard restaurant on Sullivan’s Island.
I ordered the above breakfast bowl and it was very good with pork belly, baked sea island red peas, rice and a fried egg on top. Yummy! Price: $18. And the beach is close by to walk off the big meal.
